Paradox of our Times !

The paradox of our times in history is that,

We have taller buildings, but short tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences but less time. We have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgement. We have more experts, but more problems, more medicines, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much; spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get too tired, read too seldom, stare at the comp too much, but pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but have reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too much. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; We've added years to life, but not life to years.

We've been to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor, We've conquered outer space, but fail to reach inner space; We've done larger things but hardly done better things.

We've tried to clean the air, but have polluted our soul; We've split the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; tall men and short character; steep profits and shallow relationships. These our the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition. These our days of two incomes, but more divorces and of fancier houses, but broken homes.

We've gone so ahead in time and in this fast paced life, that we tend to forget some basic things which can get happiness in our lives. We have build more computers to hold more information, but have less communication. We have the time to Tweet, write Facebook wall posts, but don't have the drive within us to call, speak and just have a two minute conversation. Believe me this two minute conversation will surely be much more pleasing than an exchange of thoughts via the social networking bandwagon.

RESPECT..COMPANIONSHIP..POSITIVITY........all this seems to be lost and hard to be found....Sad but True !!
